WHAT IS A TRUST CORPORATION? A Trust Corporation is a limited company which carries out the professional deputy work set out above. The Hodge Jones & Allen Trust Corporation is 100% owned by HJA LLP and holds the same full professional indemnity insurance as the firm. When the Trust Corporation is appointed as deputy, the Trust Corporation appoints HJA LLP to act for it under the usual HJA LLP terms and conditions of business.

Hodge Jones & Allen LLP (HJA LLP) is well regarded for its expertise professional deputy work. The appointment of a deputy is a personal appointment made by the Court of Protection. HJA LLP has set up a Trust Corporation to act as deputy rather than appointing individual partners in person. This will provide you with continuity and ensure the service you receive is not disrupted, when the individual partner is on leave, sick leave or departs from the firm. The Trust Corporation can act in a number of ways: • As professional deputy for property and affairs, • As professional trustee, • As attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney and, • As executor of a client’s will.

Patrick Allen Patrick founded the firm of Hodge Jones & Allen in 1977 and is the senior partner. He has acted as a professional deputy and trustee for many years. He supervises the work of the Private Client team.

Christine Dyson Christine is head of the Private Client team. She has acted as professional deputy and trustee since 2007. At present she manages At present, she manages 45 clients under professional Deputyship and 40 Personal Injury Trusts.

Chun Wong Chun is a partner of HJA LLP and head of the HJA Dispute Resolution team. She is the Compliance Office for Legal Practice (COLP) for the firm and a member of the senior management team of HJA LLP.

Nicola Waldman Nicola is a partner of Hodge Jones & Allen LLP and head of the Wills & Probate team. Nicola is a highly experienced executor and trustee and is a recognised expert in this field and a recommended lawyer in Legal 500, 2019 directory.
